Frequently Asked Questions
What is a BEACH CRUISER?
Beach cruisers are the most popular bikes at the beach with their single speed and classic good looks. They look like the classic newspaper boy bike from the fifties. These bikes are ALL new and greatly improved from the “Leave it to Beaver” days of yesteryear. Our bikes all come with sturdy frames, aluminum rims and stainless steel spokes, comfortable saddles and fat white sidewall balloon tires. These smooth riding bikes are designed for cruising the boardwalks and the streets in Southern California laid back style!
Do you really offer FREE surf lessons?
We put an entire surf lesson into print that we’ll give you for free when you rent a surfboard from us and you can “JUST DO IT” yourself at your own speed and with NO PRESSURE!!!
The detailed instruction sheets cover everything from beach conditions to paddling, to getting to your feet and surfing as well as safety tips and helpful information on surfboards, wetsuits, rip currents and more. We’ll also be happy to give you a dry land lesson showing you how to paddle your board, catch a wave and pop up to your feet. So, why pay $65.00 to $100.00 for a 90-minute lesson when you can get one for FREE from just one place in San Diego…Mission Beach Rentals at Belmont!!!

How long can I rent stuff for and how are your rates structured?
You can rent equipment for as long as you want to. Basically we have an “hourly” rate, a “daily” rate, a 24-hour rate, a 4-day rate and a weekly rate.
Our “hourly” rate is a 60-minute block of time.
Our “Full Day” rate is anything over 4 hours and as late as 30 minutes before closing.
Again, we do require that all “Full Day” rentals be returned 30 minutes before closing (unless otherwise arranged) to avoid having to pay for any additional time or late fees.
Our “overnight” or “24 hour” rate is pretty self explanatory, it is simply due back the same time the next day. For all rentals that are kept overnight or longer we ask that you keep all equipment inside for safe keeping.
Our “4-day” rate is up to 4 FULL business days.
Our “weekly” rate is up to 7 FULL business days.
